DO:

Handle with care and store in an appropriate place.
Select he product suited to the application.
Inspect the product before mounting on the machine: visual inspection and ring test when applicable.
Make sure the product is adapted to the machine: dimensions , maximum.rotational ,frequency, machine max. RPM shall never exceed max. RPM marked on the wheel.
Carefully mount on the machine following machine builder instructions and wheel marking.
Install and close all safety devices: guards, screens etc.
Start the machine and run it idle for at least 30 seconds, with all personnel away, every time a new or used wheel is mounted.
Operate the machine according to machine and wheel instructions.
 
DON’T:
Run a wheel at a rotational frequency higher that the maximum RPM marked on the wheel or its label.
Force the wheel on the mounting device: machine shaft, flange spigot etc.
Modify, enlarge, wheel bore.
Grind on the side of a wheel which is not designed for this operation.
Abuse a wheel with too much grinding pressure, shocks etc.
Dress the wheel with an inadequate tool.
